This trail connects the monastery complexes of Sanahin and Haghpat, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and located in the Lori region. The trail begins at the Sanahin Monastery, built in the 10th century. There is no need to rush here; you should calmly explore the monastery library, dining room, numerous chapels, galleries and other buildings. From Sanahin the trail will lead you to another holy place - the Haghpat Monastery. Haghpat was also built in the 10th century and was an important educational center. As in Sanahin, here it is also necessary to study every building and khachkar. This trail is especially beautiful in the fall. In addition to these large monastic complexes, we will also see the chapel of St. Karapet and pass through the village of Akner.
