This trail allows you to walk through not one, but three abandoned villages and get an idea of what life was like in the rocky mountains of Syunik. In the village, abandoned since the 1970s, you will see stone buildings perched on a steep hillside, the roof of one house serving as a yard for another house. Here is the Shnheri Kusantz Desert, which was built in the 1670s. In addition to being a safe haven for many nuns, the desert was also a cultural, spiritual and literary center. From Old Shinuair you can either walk to the modern village of Shinuair or continue to your next destination - Old Halidzor. In Old Halidzor you will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful Khachkars, from where you will ascend to the village of Halidzor and complete the hike. This trail can also be walked separately.
