The trail from Tsater to Kurtan is a one-way trail starting in the village of Tsater and ending at village of Kurtan. This is one of the beautiful trails in Lori region, which runs along the river, through forest and rocks. Along the way we will see ancient castles and a medieval monastery. Descending from the peaks, we will find ourselves in the Dzoraget valley, where we will see the castles of Kir (sister) and Akhper (brother) on giant rocks. To get to Hnevank, you will have to deviate slightly from the road. Hnevank was built in the 7th century, and in the 12th-13th centuries it functioned as a Chalcedonian monastery. The path leading to Kurtan passes through the rocks. It may seem impossible to get through it at first, but with each step it becomes clearer.
