If you choose this route, we will discover the very impressive Vahagn and Astghik waterfalls with mythological names. The waterfalls are located on the territory of the Khosrov Forest State Reserve, which can only be reached with permission. Vahagn and Astghik waterfalls are mythologically connected with each other. In the pagan pantheon, Astghik was the goddess of beauty and fertility, the wife of Vishapakah Vahagn, the god of fire and war. It is definitely not recommended to go here in summer, because it is very hot. And if you like frozen waterfalls, you can visit in winter. We will start walking from the tourist center of Garni and end here.
