The goal of many hikers arriving in Armenia is to climb the Northern peak of Aragats, as it is the highest mountain in Armenia (4090 m). There are several ways to ascent the North Peak, and none of them are easy, but this route - the ascent from Gegharot - is perhaps one of the most beautiful. This route allows you to see the Gegarot Valley and the Gegarot Waterfall, as well as other waterfalls formed from the cold springs of Aragats. From the village of Aragats we will drive up to the Gegarot waterfall on SUV and from there we will begin our ascent.
