Mount Aragats is located on the territory of Aragatsotn and Shirak regions. Its northern peak is the highest point in Armenia (4090 m). We will begin our ascent from Lake Rapi, where we will reach by SUV from the village of Gekhadzor. Lake Rapi is located at an altitude of 3000 m and is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Armenia. This route is the shortest of the existing ones and has the lowest relative altitude. However, there are technical difficulties in the form of stone pile crossings. The ascent is above average difficulty; mountain experience and good physical fitness are required to participate.
