Mount Tesilk is located in the Tavush region, near the village of Gandzakar. The mountain is one of the branches of the Miapor mountain range and is clearly visible from the city of Ijevan. Locals call it Mount Budur. On the slope and top of the mountain there are ruins of the Budur fortress, and on the eastern side there is the Tesilk mountain cave. From the top there is a beautiful view of the Ijevan and Miapor mountain ranges, the city of Ijevan and the village of Gandzakar. Light falls into the cave from two slits in the large hall of the cave. They say that the cave used to be the castle's first aid station, where the wounded were taken. According to tradition, on the road leading from the cave into the forest there is a long vertical hole. Many years ago, one of the villagers was tied with a rope and lowered into a hole to find out where he was going. The man warned him that if he screamed, he was still alive, but after he was taken down, he began to laugh. I picked him up, pulled him out and saw him go crazy. Since then, the villagers have been afraid to walk along this road.
