One day Saryan (Famous armenian painter) visited Dsegh to visit his good friend, the Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan. Walking around Dsekh, Saryan notices the village of Karinj in the mountains in front of him and cannot pass by it indifferently. He places on his canvas an image of the wonderful nature of the village, making it one of Karinji’s calling cards. It was this picture that was depicted on the previous Armenian 5,000 dram banknote. We will start our hike from Karinj, one of the smallest villages in the mountains of Lori region. The forest road will take us to the heights of the Sevordyats Mountains, from where views of the Debeti Gorge open up. Accompanied by these scenes, we will continue our walk to the village of Akner, where we will finish the walk.
