Aragats has a gigantic crater 400 m deep and 3 km in diameter, the remains of its eroded walls form the four peaks of the mountain. The crater is open on the southeast side. The peaks are located in a semicircle. The highest is the northern peak (4090.1 meters). The western peak has a height of 3995.3 m, the eastern peak - 3908.2 m, the southern peak - 3887.8 m. We will start the ascent from the Gegharot gorge and end here. There are two ways to climb the eastern peak, so we will decide together which way to go. Regardless of the route chosen, there is still a risk of rockfalls on this peak, so you should assess all the risks and undertake this climb consciously.
