Aragats has a gigantic crater 400 m deep and 3 km in diameter, the remains of its eroded walls form the four peaks of the mountain. The crater is open on the southeast side. The peaks are located in a semicircle. The highest is the northern peak (4090.1 meters). The western peak has a height of 3995.3 m, the eastern peak is 3908.2 m, the southern peak is 3887.8 m. If you want to climb any peak of Aragats, we suggest you start from the South peak. You can climb the southern peak using the classic route or along Qarakatar. We will decide together which way to climb. We will start our climb from Lake Kari, which is at an altitude of 3200m, and end here.
