Mount Shreshtasar, which has the shape of a giant cone, is located near the village of Yelpin in the Vayots Dzor region. Height: 2098 m. The trail is circular. We will start the hike from the village of Elpin and walk to Shreshtasar, then Vartanes, an ancient settlement where there are interesting historical and archaeological monuments. We will visit Lake Vartanes, which received its name from the village of Vardenik of the same name, which was abandoned during the years of Soviet Armenia as a result of the expansion of the village. After the lake we will return to Elpi by a different route.
